Due Date today!

5:30 p: Well, Mom is having diarrhea for the past 1 hour and now, severe cramping for the past half hour . Wonder if this is prelabor!

9:23p: Turns out we are in for labor…. we had a bloody show with the mucus plug coming off and the contractions are around 7-3/4-1 (7 mins. between contractions, lasting 3/4 of a minute, for about 1 hour)  now. Plan to go to the hospital once it is 5-1-3! The big question is will the contractions intensify later tonight.

Dad to mom: How are you feeling ?

she says : I want to sleep. Otherwise, I do nt care about anything else. In addition, I want lotsa TLC (Tender Loving Care).

Hope she is getting that from me, as we breathe together and become one with the pain of the contraction ……. it is a new experience to see her grimace in pain with every contraction.

10:05 p: Mom wants a pain killer!! all the talk of natural birthing hangs in balance…….

11:00 p: We leave for the hospital after the hospital lets us come in once they know there is pinkish/bright red discharge……

12:00a: Turns out Mom is 8cm dilated and almost fully effaced and we are told she will deliver soon. But still we are in active labor. Two more steps away from birthing a new life!! Breathe we do … together ….. and it keeps the pain sensations at bay……

2:00a: The doctor breaks the bag of waters as Mom is already anxious and tired of suffering through the pain of contractions.

3:15p: We finish transition stage and get into Stage Two of delivery … Contractions are at their most intense. Mom’s will to stay without intervention is now put to severe test………. Pushing starts….

5:10p: Mom is thoroughly exhausted and unable to continue pushing and seeks intervention in the form of C Section.

6:12p: Dear Son is born through C section delivery….

About parentingexperiences

We plan to list out our experiences growing up(?) together with our little one on this webpage. This is our tribute to the hundreds of people who have put up all of their knowledge and wisdom online for free, from which we have benefited tremendously. Hopefully, someone would benefit from our experiences.....
